Aftercare

Aftercare can vary from client to client depending on skin type, skin irritations, allergies, etc. Usually, I prefer to wrap my clients with Recovery Derm Shield. This is a thin and breathable tattoo bandage that will be placed on your tattoo at the end of your session.

- This wrap is meant to stay on for at least 3-5 days. In that timeframe, on the day you decide to take it off, I recommend doing so in the shower after letting lukewarm water run over the tattoo.

- Peel the wrap from the bottom and downwards, this allows the adhesive to separate from the skin much easier.

- Wash your tattoo with antibacterial fragrance free soap and pat dry with a paper towel

- Moisturize with fragrance free lotion in light layers when dry.

Happy Healing! Feel free to contact me with any aftercare questions.

The First Day

On the first day with your healing tattoo, you'll notice a collection of fluid rising up from beneath the wrap on your tattoo. This is completely normal. Don't be spooked! This is just your plasma and actually helps in healing.

If any leaking happens and results in the wrap peeling up/exposing a part of your tattoo- take the wrap off, wash it gently and follow the aftercare instructions as stated above.

Healing Process

During the healing process, your tattoo will peel, flake, and have some areas of shininess. Your tattoo is fully healed with the skin is no longer shiny and smooth to the touch.

Avoid swimming for at least 3-4 weeks.
